Riyadh Hossain
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
A serial technology entrepreneur and angel investor with over a decade of experience across regional trade, enterprise software, and startup ecosystems. Before founding The Data Island in 2023, he led Appnometry Ltd. for more than ten years, delivering digital products and mobile platforms for telecommunications, industrial, and European enterprise clients. He also served as an angel investor in Sigmind.ai and was elected the youngest Vice President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) in 2018. At TDI, he leads company strategy, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.
Intisar Tahmid
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
A computer vision specialist and engineering educator with over ten years of experience in machine learning, applied computer science, and technical leadership. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Vision from TU Darmstadt, Germany, and has contributed to research and industry programs in Germany and Bangladesh. He has served as Senior Lecturer at North South University, led national AI training under the World Bank’s EDGE project, and developed AI solutions for enterprise partners, including Unilever and British American Tobacco. At TDI, he leads product architecture, technical operations, and engineering talent standards.
